1:00 Chrono Odyssey is announced for PC (Steam and the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and its makers aim to launch it on all of them at the same time, worldwide. Cross-play between them has not been announced as of Oct 21, 2026. The trailer Chrono Studio revealed at Epic's State of Unreal at GDC 2024 (Mar 20, 2024) ends on a card reading "Wishlist now" above the logos of Chrono Studio, Kakao Games, Steam, the Epic Games Store, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the same four stores that take wishlists today. Kakao Games wrote before the 2025 beta that "our goal is to launch across all announced platforms (Steam, PS, Xbox, Epic) at release." When that release comes is on Release Date.

Quick facts

A launch on every platform at once

32:59 Chrono Odyssey is planned to launch on all its platforms and in all its regions on the same day. In the creator Kanon's interview (Jun 9, 2025), executive producer Yun Sang-tae says the game, "Excluding certain countries, aims for a simultaneous global launch," followed by "synchronized global updates after release." Kakao Games told MassivelyOP the same month: "We are aiming for a fully synchronized, simultaneous launch across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S," with "no differences between versions" across regions. Kakao Games publishes it in Korea and worldwide except China and Russia, where no publisher has been named. There is no Kakao Games launcher version: the official site links only to Steam, Epic, PlayStation and Xbox.

PC: Steam and the Epic Games Store

15:32 Chrono Odyssey on PC is a Windows game sold through Steam and the Epic Games Store, and the June 2025 closed beta ran on Steam only. SpookyFairy's recording of the beta (Jun 20, 2025) shows its PC settings menu: the player switches off motion blur, sets the quality and notes there is no DLSS. Steam lists Windows only, with no Mac or Linux version, and the minimum and recommended specs that are on Steam today (16 GB of memory at minimum, 50 GB of storage) are the beta's; Kakao Games is re-setting them with the hardware community Quasar Zone, which began testing in September 2026 (PC System Requirements, Performance and Optimization). The Epic Games Store was announced as a destination at GDC 2024, the day the Steam page opened, and its page also lists Windows. Upscaling uses Temporal Super Resolution today, and DLSS and FSR support is planned.

PlayStation 5

Chrono Odyssey is coming to PlayStation 5, and its PlayStation Store page (concept 10010686) lists it as "Release date to be determined." The page's lines are: "PS Plus required for online play", "Supports up to 99 online players with PS Plus", "Online play required", "In-game purchases optional", and "Vibration function and trigger effect supported (DualSense wireless controller)." So, like other online games on PS5, Chrono Odyssey will need a PS Plus membership to play, on top of buying the game (Price and Business Model). The PlayStation Store still shows the ESRB rating as pending, while the Xbox store and Steam show Mature 17+. There is no PS4 version.

Xbox Series X|S

Chrono Odyssey is coming to Xbox Series X|S. Its Xbox store page lists Smart Delivery, "Optimized for Xbox Series X|S", 4K, HDR10, variable refresh rate, ray tracing, 60+ fps and console keyboard and mouse support. The page's data also names Xbox One, but every announcement from Kakao Games and Chrono Studio names only Xbox Series X|S, and no Xbox One version has been announced. Game Pass has not been announced either.

Controllers and keyboard

23:12 Chrono Odyssey is being designed for controllers first, with keyboard and mouse supported side by side. Yun told Kanon that the interface "supports both controllers and keyboard/mouse simultaneously," and that the team is "focusing development around controllers rather than keyboard/mouse" because "if it works properly on controllers, naturally it will work well on keyboard/mouse too." He admitted that this made the beta's interface feel tailored to single-player play. After the beta, Developer's Notes #2 Part 2 (Jul 30, 2025) promised separate keyboard-and-mouse and controller layouts, with presets "inspired by Soulslike and MMORPG control schemes." Steam lists full controller support and DualShock and DualSense support.

Cross-play and cross-progression

Cross-play and cross-progression have not been announced for Chrono Odyssey as of Oct 21, 2026. Kakao Games has spoken of "a unified experience for players on all platforms from day one," to MassivelyOP in June 2025, but has never used the words cross-play or cross-save, and no store page lists them. Wccftech wrote in February 2026 that the PC and console releases would come "presumably with cross-play functionality"; that is the outlet's guess, not an announcement. Whether PC and console players will share servers is not known.

Steam Deck and handheld PCs

Chrono Odyssey has no Steam Deck rating from Valve, and Chrono Studio has said nothing about the Steam Deck. The Quasar Zone benchmark work announced on Sep 22, 2026 covers entry-level PCs and handheld gaming PCs as well as desktops, according to Newspim, so handhelds are being tested; that is not a promise of Steam Deck support.

Mobile, Switch and Mac

3:23 Chrono Odyssey has no mobile, Nintendo Switch or Mac version. When Npixel revealed the game in December 2020 it planned to optimize it for PC, mobile and console, but the May 2023 gameplay trailer, which ends on the game's title card and a row of company and platform logos, came with an announcement for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only, as ZDNet Korea reported, and mobile has not been mentioned since. Languages

Chrono Odyssey's Steam page lists nine languages: English and Korean with full audio, and French, German, Spanish (Spain), Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Portuguese (Brazil) and Traditional Chinese for the interface and subtitles. The 2025 beta had English and Korean voices and five interface languages.
