PC System Requirements

Chrono Odyssey's minimum PC on Steam is 64-bit Windows 10, an Intel Core i5-3570K or AMD FX-8310, 16 GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti or Radeon RX 6600, DirectX 11 and 50 GB of space; the recommended PC has a Core i7-12700K or Ryzen 5 5600X, 32 GB of RAM and an RTX 3070 or RX 6800 XT. These are the June 2025 closed beta's figures, and Chrono Studio is re-setting them with Quasar Zone's benchmarks (Sep 2026).

To run Chrono Odyssey, Steam asks at minimum for 64-bit Windows 10, an Intel Core i5-3570K or AMD FX-8310, 16 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6600, DirectX 11 and 50 GB of free space; the recommended PC has an Intel Core i7-12700K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, 32 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT and DirectX 12. These are the lists Chrono Studio published for the Closed Beta on Jun 6, 2025, still on the store page as of Oct 21, 2026, and they will change: in September 2026 the studio began testing the game with the Korean hardware community Quasar Zone, whose benchmarks are to set the official minimum and recommended specs. The game is built in Unreal Engine 5, which executive producer Yun Sang-tae says in the official Developer Interview #1 (May 23, 2025) was chosen "to bring the chaotic world of Setera to life", not to show off the technology. Chrono Odyssey has no release date; Kakao Games' newest window is Q2 2027 (see Release Date).

Final specs Being re-set from Quasar Zone benchmarks (from Sep 22, 2026)
Steam Deck Not rated by Valve; nothing announced (Oct 21, 2026)

Steam's store page for Chrono Odyssey (app 2873440) lists these two columns, the same as the closed beta notice of Jun 6, 2025, as read on Oct 20, 2026.

Minimum Recommended
OS Windows 10 (64-bit) Windows 10 (64-bit)
Processor Intel Core i5-3570K / AMD FX-8310 Intel Core i7-12700K / AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Memory 16 GB RAM 32 GB RAM
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti / Radeon RX 6600 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 / Radeon RX 6800 XT
DirectX Version 11 Version 12
Storage 50 GB available space 50 GB available space

The two lists are uneven. The minimum pairs an old processor generation with 16 GB of memory, more than most games ask for at the low end, while the recommended column asks for 32 GB and a current processor. Neither list gives a resolution, a settings preset or a frame-rate target, and neither says whether an SSD is required. Chrono Studio has published no list for 1440p, 4K or ray tracing on PC, as of Oct 21, 2026.

The specs will change

The store's figures are the beta's, and the developer says they will be replaced. In Developer's Notes #6 (Sep 22, 2026), Chrono Studio wrote that it had partnered with Quasar Zone, "an IT and hardware media community", to test the game "on various hardware configurations" for frame rate stability and rendering performance. Korean reports the same day add what the work is for: Newspim says the results will set the official minimum and recommended specs and per-setting targets (resolution, options and frame rate), and that the testing covers entry-level PCs and handheld gaming PCs as well; Inven reports it as Quasar Zone's GameReady benchmark program. No new list has been published as of Oct 21, 2026. How the game ran in the beta, and what the studio has changed since, is on Performance and Optimization.

Download size and storage

Steam asks for 50 GB of free space. The closed beta's download was 38.8 GB, MeinMMO reported on Jun 20, 2025, for a build with one explorable region and three of the six classes. Yun Sang-tae told Kanon in June 2025 that the launch world will be about four times the size of the beta's, so expect the final download to grow; no launch size has been announced as of Oct 21, 2026.

DLSS, FSR and upscaling

Chrono Odyssey uses Unreal Engine's Temporal Super Resolution (TSR) today, and NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR are planned but were not in the beta. Chrono Studio wrote in Developer's Notes #2 Part I (Jul 4, 2025) that it is "adding support for DLSS (NVIDIA) and FSR (AMD)", with upscaling options "available on compatible graphics cards", and that it is retuning TSR to reduce motion blur and ghosting. SpookyFairy's recording of the first evening of the beta, Jun 20, 2025, shows the beta's graphics menu: his global preset reads Epic, he turns motion blur off, notes there is "no DLS[S] or anything", and drops the preset to High. Intel XeSS and frame generation have not been mentioned, as of Oct 21, 2026.

Steam Deck, handhelds and Mac

Valve has not rated Chrono Odyssey for Steam Deck, and Chrono Studio and Kakao Games have announced no Deck support, as of Oct 21, 2026. The one hint is the Quasar Zone work, which Newspim says includes handheld gaming PCs. Steam lists the game for Windows only, with no Mac or Linux version. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are covered on Platforms; the Xbox store lists 4K, HDR10, ray tracing and "60+ fps" for Xbox Series X|S, but neither console version has published performance modes.
