33:22 Chrono Odyssey has no release date as of Oct 21, 2026: Kakao Games' release schedule from its Aug 2026 earnings call lists it for Q2 2027 (April to June 2027), and Steam says "To be announced". No day, hour or countdown exists, no store takes pre-orders, and the Q2 2027 window is the latest of several that have slipped. Asked by the creator Kanon "When can we expect the global launch to be?" in an interview published Jun 9, 2025, executive producer Yun Sang-tae answered, "This is something we can't officially discuss yet," and said the launch would be announced separately at a later date. That is still where things stand more than a year later: the dates come only from Kakao Games' investor calls, never from a Chrono Studio announcement. What the game is about is on Chrono Odyssey.

When does Chrono Odyssey come out?

Chrono Odyssey is expected in Q2 2027 at the earliest, but there is no date. Kakao Games presented its lineup at its Q2 2026 earnings call on Aug 4 to 5, 2026, and the release schedule there lists Chrono Odyssey (online RPG, PC and console) for Q2 2027, as Inven Global, Gamemeca and Icy Veins reported; Digital Daily worded it as "from Q2 next year" and MassivelyOP simply as 2027. On that call co-CEO Lee Si-woo admitted that "the repeated delays in our new releases have severely damaged market trust in our schedule," and Kakao Games said no further schedule change was being considered. Kakao Games said the same thing in 2025 before the game slipped twice more, so the window is best read as a plan.

The newest word from the developer, Developer's Notes #6 of Sep 22, 2026, gives no date at all: it says development "is ongoing in a number of areas from new content to improvements to the overall game experience" and announces work with the Korean hardware community Quasar Zone to test the game on more PCs (Developer Notes).

Every release window so far

Chrono Odyssey has been given a target almost every year since its 2020 reveal, and each one has passed. Kakao Games published the game's windows in its quarterly earnings calls; the first came from the studio's CEO.

At the Kakao Games publishing deal in March 2024 there was no window, and in an Aug 8, 2024 letter on Steam the producer asked players to "please bear with us a little longer!" Gamevu's report of the Apr 30, 2026 call grouped the game with titles for "2027 and after" without a quarter.

Why Chrono Odyssey was delayed

17:15 Chrono Odyssey was delayed after its June 2025 closed beta showed the game needed far more work. Before the test, in Developer Interview #1 (May 23, 2025), the team said "The upcoming CBT will be the first public test of Chrono Odyssey" and that its goal "isn't to present a perfectly polished version, but to gather feedback from players and continue to improve the game." The feedback was hard: testers reported frame drops and crashes, sluggish hits and confusing guidance, and Chrono Studio has been reworking combat, the interface, progression and the story since (Closed Beta, Reception).

Kakao Games' reasons, in its own words:

• Aug 6, 2025 (Q4 2025 to Q4 2026). "We decided that we should further dial up the game's level of completeness... even if it were to require additional development time," Kakao said, as Icy Veins reported. Then-CEO Han Sang-woo said that with global competition fierce and player expectations higher, and since a new game's launch is a one-time moment, Kakao had chosen to raise the game's completeness, and that the launch "will not be delayed further" (Money Today, translated).
• Feb 11, 2026 (Q4 2026 to Q1 2027). A Kakao executive said the timeline was adjusted "so that we could minimize the operational risk as much as possible" (Wccftech), and Kakao said the game "will repeatedly conduct core testing centered on the Western region, focusing on completeness and stability" (Icy Veins).
• Aug 2026 (Q1 2027 to Q2 2027). Kakao gave no separate reason for Chrono Odyssey; the call was about restoring trust in its schedules after repeated delays across its lineup.

Is there a release time or a pre-load?

No. Chrono Odyssey has no release day, so it has no release hour, unlock time or pre-load, as of Oct 21, 2026. Any countdown online is a guess. Will consoles launch on the same day?

32:59 That is the plan: Chrono Odyssey is meant to launch on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at the same time, worldwide. Yun told Kanon that Chrono Odyssey, "Excluding certain countries, aims for a simultaneous global launch," with "synchronized global updates after release." Kakao Games told MassivelyOP in June 2025 that it is "aiming for a fully synchronized, simultaneous launch across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S," and Kakao's beta notes said "our goal is to launch across all announced platforms (Steam, PS, Xbox, Epic) at release." Can I play Chrono Odyssey now?

1:00 No. Chrono Odyssey is not playable as of Oct 21, 2026: its only public test, a closed beta on Steam, ended on Jun 23, 2025, and progress from it was reset. The Summer Game Fest trailer of Jun 6, 2025 ends on a card inviting players to join the playtest on Steam from Jun 20 to 22, 2025; it is still the newest trailer. Chrono Studio promised "more testing phases after this Closed Beta, leading up to the official launch," but in July 2025 CEO Bae Bong-gun said "we currently don't have a confirmed date, and we can't guarantee whether it will happen within this year." Kakao Games planned a core-user test for early 2026; no report says it took place. There is no demo, no early access and no Steam Next Fest entry.

What comes next

The next likely news is Kakao Games' Q3 2026 earnings call, expected in early November 2026, which will either keep Q2 2027 or move it again. Before a launch, expect a second test, final PC specifications from the Quasar Zone benchmarks (PC System Requirements), a price and store pre-orders.
